ILL LEG passed Bill SB 2641 to amend the Network adequacy and transparency act.
Network Adequacy
Amends Illinois Compiled Statutes, ILL INS 215-124/10 so that as of Jan. 1, 2026, insurers will show that in-network hospital has at least one radiologist, pathologist.
Also anesthesiologist, emergency room physician as preferred providers in the plan.
The Department may require additional types of hospital-based medical specialists.
