SBA Disaster Aid Available TX Victims


On May 20, SBA made disaster aid available to TX small businesses.


  • SBA Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) made available to Texas small businesses.
  • Based on economic losses because of reduced revenues due to drought from Mar. 12.
  • Eligibility
  • Small nonfarm businesses in TX counties of Edwards, Kinney, Maverick Val Verde.
  • Neighboring Crockett, Dimmit, Kerr, Kimble, Real, Sutton, Terrell, Uvalde, Webb Zavala
  • Furthermore, small nonfarm businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofits of any size may qualify for EIDLs.
  • Loans of up to $2 million are intended to assist in meeting financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met had the disaster not occurred.
  • Eligibility is based on financial impact of disaster and not on any actual damage.
  • Application Deadline
  • Completed applications for EIDLs must be received by Jan. 8, 2025.
