SBA reported that economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) available to Oklahoma small businesses due to losses from reduced revenue from drought beginning Sep. 3, 2024.
US Secretary of Agriculture designated an agricultural disaster on Sep. 9, 2024.
Eligibility
Primary county eligible for economic injury aid is Comanche; neighboring eligible Oklahoma counties include Caddo, Cotton, Grady, Kiowa, Stephens and Tillman.
Small nonfarm businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture, most private nonprofits may qualify for economic injury disaster loans.
EIDLs of up to $2 million are available to help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met by the victims had the disaster not occurred.
Eligibility based on financial impact of disaster only and not on property damage.
Deadline
Completed EIDL applications must be submitted to SBA by May 9, 2025.
