  • SBA reported that economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) available to Oklahoma small businesses due to losses from reduced revenue from drought beginning Sep. 3, 2024.
  • US Secretary of Agriculture designated an agricultural disaster on Sep. 9, 2024.
  • Eligibility
  • Primary county eligible for economic injury aid is Comanche; neighboring eligible Oklahoma counties include Caddo, Cotton, Grady, Kiowa, Stephens and Tillman.
  • Small nonfarm businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture, most private nonprofits may qualify for economic injury disaster loans.
  • EIDLs of up to $2 million are available to help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met by the victims had the disaster not occurred.
  • Eligibility based on financial impact of disaster only and not on property damage.
  • Deadline
  • Completed EIDL applications must be submitted to SBA by May 9, 2025.
