On Jul. 24, SBA made drought loans available to MT disaster victims.
SBA stated Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) available Montana small businesses.
Eligibility
Small nonfarm businesses in eight Montana counties and neighboring counties in Idaho are now eligible to apply for low-interest federal disaster loans from the SBA.
EIDLs offset economic losses due to reduced revenues from drought in primary county Missoula; neighboring Flathead, Granite, Lake, Mineral, Powell, Ravalli and Sanders.
Also, per declaration available in neighboring Idaho counties Clearwater and Idaho.
Small nonfarm businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofits may qualify for EIDLs of up to $2 million.
Loans are intended to help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met by the disaster victim had the disaster not occurred.
Application Deadline
The deadline to apply for economic injury is Mar. 17, 2025.
