On Sep. 4, EU ACER said it will consult on format & CEREMP platform.
EU ACER said it would consult on: amendments to Regulation on wholesale energy Market integrity and transparency (REMIT) market participant registration format; and the Centralised European register of energy market participants (CEREMP) platform.
Overview
Under REMIT, market participants register with the regulatory authority in country of operation; each regulator is responsible for establishing/keeping a national register.
At EU level, EU ACER manages European register of market participants (publicly available through the CEREMP platform) and collects member state national registers.
For consistent data collection EU ACER created a common registration format in 2012.
To keep up with regulatory/technical requirements, including the REMIT 2024 revision, EU ACER plans to update both the registration format and the CEREMP platform.
Consultation Dates
A public consultation on possible amendments will run from Oct. 1 to 29, 2025.
