2027 Health Insurance Rate
As part of its statutory responsibilities, CT INS will conduct a thorough and careful review of each filing to ensure compliance with CT insurance laws and regulations.
CT INS will conduct a detailed review of each filing, requiring insurers to provide justifications and supporting evidence for their requested rates and proposed changes.
The number of filings declined this year after planned internal insurer consolidations by UnitedHealthcare and ConnectiCare, though both will remain active in state market.
A 30-day public comment period on the proposed rate filings began on Jun. 5, 2026, allowing members of the public to provide feedback to CT INS for consideration.
Once details are finalized, CT INS will hold a public informational session on requested rate filings in Aug., and members of the public will have an opportunity to speak.
