EEA JC Adopted Decision
EEA JC issued Dec 145/2024 incorporating the following rules into the EEA Agreement.
Reg 2017/2401amending Reg 575/2013 on prudential requirements for credit institutions and investment firms.
Reg 2017/2402laying down a general framework for securitisation and creating a specific framework for simple, transparent and standardised securitisation, and amending Dir 2009/65/EC, 2009/138/EC and 2011/61/EU and Reg 1060/2009 and 648/2012.
Reg 2021/557amending Reg 2017/2402 laying down a general framework for securitisation and creating a specific framework for simple, transparent and standardised securitisation to help the recovery from the COVID-19 crisis.
Reg 2021/558amending Reg 575/2013 as regards adjustments to the securitisation framework to support the economic recovery in response to the COVID19 crisis.
Reg 2018/1221amending Reg 2015/35 as regards the calculation of regulatory capital requirements for securitisations and simple, transparent and standardised securitisations held by insurance and reinsurance undertakings.
Effectiveness
Decision shall enter into force on Jun. 13, 2024, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made (requirements indicated).

Jul. 2025 NOR Regulations
On Jul. 1, 2025, NOR GVT issued Reg FOR-2025-07-01-1381 amending Reg 999/2015.
Regulations amend regulations to Financial Institutions Act on implementation of Solvency II Directive (Incorporation of Regulation 2018/1221).
Annex IX, point 1b to EEA Agreement point k now refers to Regulation 2018/1221 that applies as regs with adjustments that follow from Annex IX, Protocol 1 to Agreement and Agreement in general; the regulations come into force on Aug. 1, 2025.
