Overview
Circular issued pursuant to section 25(1)(c)(ii) & (iii) of CYP SEC Law, as amended.
Information request for CASPs registered with it, providing services in or from Cyprus.
A new version of RBSF-CASP, V2, found in Appendix, and scope is the collection of various statistical information; recalls this form is issued on an annual basis.
CYP SEC will use this information for purposes of conducting statistical analysis, risk management and other purposes.
Form must be successfully submitted by all CASP registered, operational Dec. 31, 2024.
CASPs registered but not operational as of Dec. 31, 2024, must also submit the form.
Form must be successfully submitted electronically via Transaction Reporting System (TRS) by Mar. 19, 2025, the latest; the steps CASPs will have to follow, for the successful submission of the form to TRS are available online.
Upon submission, CASPs are responsible to ensure they have received a feedback file.
I.e. official submission confirmation dispatched by the TRS in the Outgoing directory.
The feedback file will either contain NO ERROR indication or, in case of error/s during submission, it will state description of that error.
In case of errors detected during submission of form, CASPs must review it and ensure all errors are addressed and corrected, before digitally signing and resubmitting form.
Form successfully submitted to CYP SEC only when NO ERROR indication feedback file received, within deadlines set; feedback file dispatched only during regular hours.
CYP SEC emphasized importance of meeting the deadline as failure to comply may bear the administrative penalties of S37(5) of CYP SEC Law.
CYP SEC will not send any reminders to those CASPs which fail to comply promptly.
