Bill Provisions
Required draft rulemaking proposed before Dec. 1, 2027 to require first aid materials in a workplace to include naloxone hydrochloride or another opioid antagonist.
Antagonist approved by US Food and Drug Administration to reverse opioid overdose.
Would be required to include instructions for using, guidance on proper storage.
Individual who administers naloxone hydrochloride or opioid antagonist approved by FDA to reverse opioid overdose in overdose emergency is not liable for civil damages.
An individual who is licensed as part of a local emergency medical services agency shall not be held responsible for administering opioid antagonist approved by FDA.
For purposes of revering drug overdose, regardless of whether the individual was certified for activity, unless individual was acting as a paid first responder at the time.
