On Dec. 31, ITA INPS updated on contribution exemption application.

  • ITA INPS said for Gender Equality Certification 2024, employers who obtained certification by Dec. 31, 2024 can apply for contribution exemption by Apr. 30, 2025.
  • Overview
  • Law 162/2021 introduced exemption from paying 1% of social security contribution for private employers who obtain gender equality certification; the benefit, up to max. EUR 50,000 per year, is reserved for those with certification issued by accredited bodies.
  • Message 4479 of Dec. 30, 2024 informs that companies can request exemption for certifications obtained by Dec. 31, 2024 via applications submitted until Apr. 30, 2025.
  • Employers can submit exemption application via online form Sgravio par_gen, available on Benefits Portal (formerly DiResCo), according to the instructions in the message.
  • Applications will be processed after the deadline and, if approved, employers will receive an authorization code to take advantage of the exemption.
  • In case of insufficient funds, the exemption may be reduced proportionately.
  • Companies that already received exemption in the past do not need to reapply, as the benefit is automatically recognized for the entire duration of the certification.
