  • Removed requirements relating to stand-alone dental plans and plans that offer oral pediatric services for the purpose of satisfying certain federal requirements.
  • Replaced maximum time or distance standards with max time and distance standards.
  • Revised definition to mean maximum time and distance, rather than maximum time or distance, that individual should have to travel to see a provider of health care.
  • Require network plan to provide evidence that network plan contracts with at least 35% of federally-qualified health centers (FQHC) and family planning providers.

  • Revised types of essential community providers within category of other ECP providers.
  • Oct. 2024 NV INS Workshop, Hearing
  • On Oct. 23, 2024, NV INS issued notice of workshop to solicit comments on proposed regulation R118-24; workshop shall be held Nov. 12, 2024; comments by Nov. 5.
  • Also issued notice of intent to act upon regulations and a hearing agenda; hearing shall be held on Nov. 26, 2024; written comments must be submitted by Nov. 19.
  • Dec. 9, 2024 NV INS Adopted Regulation
  • On Dec. 9, 2024, NV INS issued adopted regulation and informational statement.
  • Adopted rule re changes to network plan adequacy becomes effective on Jan. 1, 2025.
