On Sep. 28, PHI LAB said minimum wage increase was approved.
PHI LAB said that the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board VII granted a PHP 42 increase in the daily minimum wage of workers in private establishments across Central Visayas.
The daily minimum wage will increase to PHP 582 for Class A areas and PHP 542 for Class B areas.
Effectiveness
The new wage rates are expected to take effect on Oct. 14, 2026, following the required publication period.
