On Feb. 13, EC issued Reg 2025/298 on ARTs/EMTs in Official Journal.
EC issued Reg 2025/298 supplementing Reg 2023/1114 on regulatory technical standards specifying methodology to estimate the number and value of transactions associated to uses of asset-referenced tokens and of e-money tokens denominated in a currency that is not an official currency of a Member State as a means of exchange.
Follows EC Nov. 2024 adopted RTS specifying methodology to estimate value of transactions associated to uses of ARTs and of EMTs denominated in a currency that is not official currency of MS as a means of exchange (C(2024)6910), see #216553.
