Report re sustainability based on international standard (IFRS S1 and S2), issued by International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), fiscal year starting Jan. 1, 2025.
Publicly-held companies must declare their option by following specified procedures.
The voluntary adoption for Jan. 1, 2024 fiscal year: declaration by Dec. 31, 2024.
And voluntary adoption for Jan. 1, 2025 fiscal year: declaration by Dec. 31, 2025.
Only publicly traded companies are obliged to present financial report re sustainability.
Does not apply to investment funds, securitization companies, or other companies.
Effectiveness
Resolution 227 comes into force on Apr. 1, 2025.

On Apr. 2, 2025, BRZ CVM launched a comprehensive survey re sustainability reports.
These surveys aim to identify the benefits, challenges, knowledge and needs related to the adoption of CBPS 01 (IFRS S1) and CBPS 02 (IFRS S2) in the Capital Market.
Survey and online questionnaires available until Apr. 22, 2025; confidential responses.
There are 4 questionnaires adapted to each target audience: publicly held companies, independent auditors, specialized consultancies, and investors/users in general.
The new resolution allows publicly held companies to disclose the communication to the market until Dec. 31, 2025, by publicly disclosing their financial information report.
Reports related to sustainability for the 2025 fiscal year or for future fiscal years.
