On May 20, SBA made disaster aid available to MT drought victims.
SBA has made low-interest Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) available to Montana small businesses for victims of drought that began May 1, 2024.
Eligibility
Primary MT counties are Cascade, Glacier, Judith Basin, Lewis and Clark, Meagher.
Pondera, Sanders and Teton; neighboring MT counties Broadwater, Chouteau.
Fergus, Flathead, Gallatin, Jefferson, Lake, Liberty, Lincoln, Mineral, Missoula, Park.
Powell, Sweet Grass, Toole and Wheatland; IDA Shoshone and Bonner.
Small nonfarm businesses in these Texas counties are now eligible to apply for low-interest federal disaster loans to offset economic losses from reduced revenues.
Small nonfarm businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofits of any size may qualify for EIDLs.
Loans are available for up to $2 million are intended to help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met had the disaster not occurred.
Eligibility for EIDLs these loans is based on financial impact only, not on any damage.
Application Deadline
Completed EIDL applications must be received by Jan. 8, 2025.
