The fee must be paid exclusively via PagoPA system, per procedures outlined on ITA INS website at specific pages (links provided); payment deadline is Nov. 2, 2026.
Foreign companies and intermediaries unable to use PagoPA system may pay via bank transfer, using bank details of Unimatica (company responsible for collecting ITA INS fees) used in 2025; those paying for 1st time may request IBAN, SWIFT codes (email).

Overview
The contribution due for 2026 by subjects in art 335.1 DLgs 209/2005 is 0.49 per 1000 of premiums collected in 2025 to be paid by insurance and reinsurance companies with registered offices in Italy and by secondary offices of insurance companies and non-EU reinsurance companies established in Italy.
0.12 per 1000 of premiums collected in Italy in 2025 to be paid by European insurance companies operating in ITA under freedom of establishment, free provision of services.
The contribution is paid by representations of European companies located in Italy operating under establishment regime on basis of premiums collected in ITA territory.
Re parent companies of European companies operating in Italy under free provision of services regime, directly from own country of origin or via representations located in other EU countries countries, with regard to overall premiums collected in ITA territory.
European pure reinsurance companies operating in Italy under establishment regime registered in list III in appendix are excluded from paying the supervisory fee.
To determine the contribution, premiums collected in 2025 financial year by insurers and reinsurers, are net of management costs, quantified, in relation to the rate set in ITA INS Prov 153/2024, in an amount equal to 4.50% of the mentioned premiums.
Fee 2026 must be paid directly to ITA INS within timeframes set in art 335.5 DLgs 209/2005, and in accordance with procedures laid down in Prov 39/2015, as amended.
