SBA made Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) available to Missouri small businesses impacted by drought that began in primary counties on Nov. 1, 2023.
Eligibility
Small nonfarm businesses in 57 Missouri counties and counties in Illinois, Iowa and Kansas are now eligible to apply for SBA federal disaster loans caused by drought.
These loans offset the economic losses resulting from the reduced revenues caused by the drought in the following primary counties that began Nov. 1, 2023.
Also, Saline, Schuyler, Shelby, St. Clair; 37 neighboring MO counties in press release.
Further, eligibility includes following neighboring Illinois counties: Adams, Hancock, Pike; Iowa counties of Appanoose, Davis; and Kansas counties of Miami and Linn.
Small nonfarm businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses in aquaculture and most private nonprofits may qualify for $2mn Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs).
EIDLs are intended to help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met by the disaster loan applicant had the disaster not occurred.
Deadline
Completed applications for EIDLs must be received by SBA by Nov. 25, 2024.
