Superintendent may require health insurance carriers to report annual percentage of claims, expenditures paid to nonparticipating providers to monitor requirements in Act

Carriers must submit surprise billing data report using a template; annually by May 1.
NM INS updated Surprise Billing Data Call Template to clarify instructions, to capture additional information required by OSI to assess effectiveness of requirements of Act.
Effectiveness
Every subject carrier in operation in 2024 must furnish information, data for plan year 2024 in newly revised Surprise Billing Data Call Template; filing due Sep. 1, 2025.
Surprise Billing Data Call template for plan years 2021 and 2022 due by Oct. 1, 2025.
