CSA ALB Trading Fee Cap Requirement

On Oct. 1, CSA ALB issued exemption to trading fee cap requirements.

  • CSA ALB, CSA OSC issued notice re coordinated CSA Blanket Order 23-930 on temporary exemption from trading fee cap requirements for inter-listed securities.

  • Temporary exemption from certain requirements under amendments to NI 23-101, Trading Rules that will come into force in their jurisdictions on Nov. 2, 2026.
  • No fee greater than CAD 0.0017 for securities listed on both a Canadian recognized exchange and a US registered national securities exchange.
  • Applies to securities with an execution price that is greater than or equal to CAD 1.00.
  • Allows marketplaces to continue to charge a fee that is no greater than CAD 0.0030 per US Interlisted Security.
  • Effectiveness
  • This Order comes into effect on Nov. 2, 2026, and will cease to be effective on May 1, 2028, unless it is extended or revoked by the Commission.
