  • SBA made Economic injury disaster loans (EIDL) available to Idaho small businesses.
  • To offset economic loss from reduced revenues caused by drought that began May 1.
  • US Secretary of Agriculture designated agricultural disaster; declared on Jul. 9.
  • Eligibility
  • Loans are being offered primarily in Latah county; in neighboring Idaho counties of Benewah, Clearwater, Nez Perce, Shoshone; as well as Whitman county in Washington.
  • Small nonfarm businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofit organizations of any size may qualify .
  • Loans up to $2mn can be used t to meet financial obligations, operating expenses.
  • Eligibility is based on financial impact of disaster only; not on actual property damage.
  • Application Deadline
  • The deadline to apply for economic injury is Mar. 10, 2025.
