  • On Apr. 8, 2025, HK TMA will conduct its 2024 CPD audit in May 2025; members who fail to update their CPD records by May 1, 2025 are more likely to be audited.
  • Audited members must submit CPD records within one month of the audit notice; non-compliance may result in the invalidation of ECF-TM or membership suspension.
  • Members must keep documentation to support CPD activities for verification purposes.
  • Those unable to meet requirements due to retirement, illness, disability, maternity leave, unemployment or other exceptional circumstances may request consideration.
  • Members should ensure their 2024 CPD records are updated online by May 1, 2025.
  • Those admitted in 2024 are exempt from CPD requirements for year of joining; they must begin fulfilling CPD requirements starting from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2025.

On Aug. 1, HK TMA announced it will conduct its CPD audit for 2024.

  • HK TMA announced that it will conduct its continuing professional development (CPD) audit for 2024 by examining a sample of individual members’ CPD record next year.
  • Updating Records
  • If members do not update CPD records in the Individual Member’s Corner by Dec. 31, 2024, they are likely to be audited, and may be asked to supply their CPD records.
  • Failure to comply with the CPD requirements may result in the invalidation of the ECF-TM certification or alternatively suspension of individual membership after the audit.
  • Members must retain sufficient documentation supporting CPD activities and be able to provide for verification on request as HK TMA carries out its compliance activities.
