Bill Provisions
The house bill enacts the Pay stub protection act which requires the employers to provide earnings and deductions statements to each of the employer's employees.
Statements to include employee's name, address, employer's name, total gross wages earned, total net wages paid, amount and purpose of additions, deductions to wages.
Also date the employee was paid, hours worked, hourly wage rate, overtime work.
Employee who does not receive statement to make written request to employer, employer to provide the statement not later than ten days after receiving the request.
If in violation of bill provisions, department can issue a written notice to the employer which must be posted in conspicuous place on employer's premises for ten days.
