On Aug. 21, 2026, HKMA released a revised User Manual for Participants (ISO 20022), effective Nov. 21, 2026, adding CTRD2712, the participant missing valuation data report, and enquiry functions on ISO-format data in the HKTR reporting portal.
CTRD2712 lists trades with missing mark-to-market valuation data within the most recent 30 calendar days per transaction, delivered as a day-end CSV report.
The enhancement will be implemented in the HKTR testing environment on Sep. 14, 2026, ahead of production deployment on Nov. 21, 2026.
Pending approval records for create/change user, create/change/delete role, and change report schedule requests must be accepted or rejected by Nov. 20, 2026, or they will be rejected after the system release.
Participants receiving reports via FTS or FileAct on SWIFTNet should enable the new delivery channel and approve the relevant request via the Maintain Report Schedule UI function.
On May 5, HKMA announced upcoming revised validation rules for ISO 20022.
HKMA said that following implementation of ISO 20022 standard for over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives reporting, reporting errors/data quality issues have been observed.
The validation rules will be enhanced in Nov. 2026 release to strengthen data quality.
Follows HKMA, HK SFC Mar. 2024 proposed mandatory use of UTI, UPI, see #205814.
Additional Enhancements
The Missing Valuation Data Report for ISO will be issued in the same release.
The Hong Kong Trade Repository (HKTR) user interface (UI) functions will also be available in Nov. 2026, enabling users to enquire on data reported in ISO format.
Plus, in Aug. 2026, a new User Manual will be published, covering the new system functions/reports (e.g. UI features, missing valuation report) in the Nov. release.
The next version of the Administration and Interface Development Guide (AIDG) will be issued on May 19, 2026.
Jul. 2026 Updates on Migration
On Jul. 17, 2026, HKMA announced system changes in the pre-ISO system.
The HKTR system will no longer accept post trade event maintenance and administrative events in testing environment from Aug. 3, 2026, and in production environment from Oct. 17.
The HKTR system will no longer accept valuation submissions in the pre-ISO template (e.g. CSV or FpML format) from Nov. 21, 2026.
HKTR will also cease updates to the FloatingRateIndex coding scheme maintained in the pre-ISO template; the regular bi-monthly service announcements will be discontinued.
Finally, pre-ISO system reports will no longer be delivered to participants from Nov. 21, 2026.
Jul. 2026 AIDG Update
On Jul. 27, 2026, HKMA noted a minor update to AIDG (ISO 20022) version 1.0.4.
Validation rule iso-doc-vr-0156 in appendix B now applies to certain contract types in the interest rate asset class.
The updated AIDG package is available on the HKTR Info Page.
