  • On Aug. 7, 2026, Thai SEC, Thai GVT sought further comments on draft amendments to improve disclosure requirements for SRI funds, including Thai ESG and Thai ESGX funds investing in JUMP+ companies.
  • These funds would have to disclose in their factsheets the proportion of JUMP+ investments as a percentage of NAV and the number and investment proportion of companies classified by progress under their JUMP+ plans.
  • They would also have to disclose the proportion of invested JUMP+ companies with which the asset management company engaged during the previous year, including direct, collaborative, and public-forum engagement.
  • Thai SEC also proposes allowing sustainability reference indices to be changed without amending the fund's formal project details, although any benchmark used must still be disclosed in the full prospectus and factsheet.
  • Other key SRI disclosures, including investment policy, sustainability objectives, investment framework and strategy, risks, and procedures for non-compliant investments, would remain required.

  • On Sep. 18, 2026, Thai SEC, Thai GVT sought comments on draft rules for mutual fund liquidity risk management tools, specifically side pockets and suspension of dealing, to improve management flexibility, disclosure, and fair treatment of unitholders.
  • For side pockets, asset management companies would be allowed to repay eligible unitholders with units of the original mutual fund as an alternative to cash, subject to clearly specified conditions and procedures.
  • Expenses charged to side-pocketed assets would have to be necessary, reasonable, and directly related to managing those assets, with the charging methodology disclosed in fund documents.
  • The draft rules set requirements for asset valuation, determination of eligible recipients, managing and disposing of assets, and distribution of cash or fund units.
  • Asset management companies would have to notify Thai SEC and unitholders within prescribed timeframes and provide ongoing information on the status of side-pocketed assets.
  • For suspension of dealing, asset management companies would face clearer notification and disclosure requirements when subscriptions or redemptions are suspended.
  • If a suspension lasts more than one business day, firms would have to notify unitholders and the public before reopening and report relevant information, including the fund’s investment position, to Thai SEC.
