OECD published (Q)SAR assessment framework: guidance for regulatory assessment of (quantitative) structure activity relationship models and predictions, second edition.
Document is published by the Chemicals and Biotechnology Committee of the OECD.
Framework Overview
The aim of OECD (Quantitative) Structure-Activity Relationship ((Q)SAR) Assessment Framework (QAF) is for a systematic and harmonized framework for the regulatory assessment of (Q)SAR models, predictions and results based on multiple predictions.
The QAF is meant to be applicable (Q)SARs, irrespective of the modelling technique used to build the model, the predicted endpoint, and the intended regulatory purpose.
Updated edition includes reporting format for (Q)SAR results for multiple predictions.
The (Q)SAR Result Reporting Format (QRRF) was created to address an identified gap in first edition, designed to increase confidence using (Q)SAR results for application.
Primary audience for document is regulatory authorities and stakeholders, and other (Q)SAR users are encouraged to refer to QAF when using (Q)SARs for any regulation.
Support Materials
OECD also provided access to a variety of support materials (Q)SAR model reporting format (QMRF), also the (Q)SAR prediction reporting format (QPRF), (Q)SAR Model, Prediction and Result Checklist (QRRF), and (Q)SAR Assessment Framework Checklist.
