Proposals
Bill On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Russia proposed to improve organization and conduct of gambling by introducing age restrictions on betting.
As well as banning persons against whom enforcement proceedings have been initiated in bookmakers, sweepstakes, and their betting points from participating in gambling.
The implementation of these provisions will increase the level of protection of the rights and legitimate interests of organizers and participants of gambling.
Bill On Amendments to Law On State Regulation of Activities in the Organization and Conduct of Gambling and on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Russia.
The bill proposes new rules to prohibit organizers of gambling in bookmakers and betting shops from accepting bets from gambling participants with borrowed funds.
The amendments are aimed at preventing illegal gambling using new financial instruments and bookmakers cannot be located next to microfinance organizations.
Bill On amending art 6 of Law “On the procedure for making foreign investments in business entities that are of strategic importance for ensuring the defense of the country and the security of the state.
The bill aims to classify activities of operators of such sites as strategic activities to ensure the country’s defense and state security, which will create a legal basis for limiting possibility of foreign investors acquiring shares in certain organizations.
Specifically, ones relevant for ensuring the consistency of closed competitive bidding.
