On Mar. 24, EU CNCL renewed Bosnia sanctions for a further year.
Council Decision (CFSP) 2020/435 of Mar. 23, 2020 amending Decision 2011/173/CFSP concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On basis of a review of 2011 decision, decided to renew measures until Mar. 31, 2021.

Mar. 2021 Renewal
On Mar. 29, 2021, EU CNCL issued dec (CFSP) 2021/543 of Mar. 26, amending decision 2011/173/CFSP on restrictive measures in view of situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On basis of a review of 2011 decision, decided to renew measures until Mar. 31, 2022.

Mar. 2022 Extension
On Mar. 18, 2022, EU CNCL decided to extend sanctions regime until Mar. 31, 2024.
Will keep ability to impose sanctions on those who undermine sovereignty, territorial integrity, constitutional order and international personality of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Sanctions can also be imposed on those who seriously threaten security situation in the country, or undermine the Dayton/Paris General Framework Agreement for Peace.
Framework provides for a travel ban for natural persons, an asset freeze for individuals and entities, EU persons are forbidden from making funds available to those listed.
For time being, no individual or entity is subject to sanctions within this framework.
Mar. 2024 Renewal
On Mar. 25, 2024, EU CNCL decided to extend sanctions regime until Mar. 31, 2026.
