UTA LEG Tenant with Animal Eviction

  • Bill amends UTA LEG 11-46-103 providing for impounding animal left stray as a result of an eviction and defines which animals are covered under the amendments.
  • Further provides that if owner is on the premises the sheriff executing the order shall give the animal to the tenant being evicted if possible; if not, present, impoundment.
  • If necessary, proceedings for returning the animal to the evicted owner will be held.
