SBA Washington Drought Loans


On Sep. 26, SBA issued disaster loans to businesses due to drought.


  • SBA provided federal disaster loans to Washington, Idaho, and Oregon small non-farm businesses to offset economic losses following a drought beginning on Jul. 25, 2023.
  • Disaster Assistance
  • Assistance extends to businesses dependent on farmers and ranchers facing agricultural production loses, as well as businesses directly affected by the disaster.
  • Small businesses and organizations may qualify for Economic injury disaster loans of up to $2mn to cover financial obligations and operating expenses during this time.
  • Businesses primarily engaged in farming or ranching are not eligible for SBA disaster assistance, and should contact the Farm Services Agency for USDA assistance.
  • Application Deadlines
  • Applications for disaster loans are due May 20, 2024.
