On Dec. 8, HUD notice on housing program compliance extension.
HUD issued notice extending compliance date for housing opportunity programs until Jan. 1, 2025 to allow for flexibility to transition implementation of HOTMA rule.
The HOTMA is the Housing opportunity through modernization act of 2016.
Includes HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), HOME-American Rescue Plan program, Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) programs.
In addition, the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), Emergency Solution Grants (ESG), Continuum of Care (CoC) programs, and CPD programs.

Allows flexibility to transition implementing HOTMA requirements under their timelines.
Before implementing HOTMA final rule, CPD grantees must comply with all applicable HOTMA requirements to establish policies and procedures, including hardship policies.
