Key Bill Provisions
Current law sets permissions for person, firm, partnership, association or corporation that sells products or services to consumers where the contract automatically renews.
SB 2764 adds clause, if a free trial or promo period is given with auto renewal, the firm must inform consumer of said renewal no less than 3 days before trial period ends
Provision applies to free trial or promotional periods that last at least fifteen (15) days.
Notice to the consumer to be made in a method to which the consumer is accustomed.
