On Aug. 29, LTH PRL issued resolution on minimum wage rate in 2025.
LTH PRL published Resolution 2024-15083 regarding minimum wages applicable 2025.
Minimum Wage
LTH GVT decided, under Labor Code of the Republic of Lithuania to approve a minimum hourly wage of 6.35 euros, and the minimum monthly salary of 1038 euros, in 2025.
It is recommended social partners set higher amounts in collective agreements than the amount of minimum hourly wage and the minimum monthly salary, decided upon.
Effectiveness
The new minimum wage resolution for the 2025 rates, enters in force Aug. 30, 2024.
Sep. 2024 Update
On Sep. 18, 2024, LTH Tax announced that new minimum wage hourly requirements of 6.35 EUR and minimum monthly salary of 1,038 EUR will take effect from Jan. 1, 2025.
The increase in minimum wage and minimum hourly rate is relevant for the calculation of per diems for business trips abroad under art 17 of the General Labor Code.
As of Jan. 1, 2025, full per diems for business trips abroad will be non-taxable monthly salary is 1,713 EUR or higher and if the hourly wage is higher than 10 EUR.
The amount of the daily allowance exceeding 50% of the DU is taxed as income related to the employment relationship or a relationship corresponding to the essence thereof.
