SBA FLA Working Capital Aid Available


On Apr. 30, SBA made loans available to victims of Florida drought.


  • SBA reported that working capital Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) are available to small businesses in Florida suffering due to drought that began on Dec. 1, 2023.
  • Low-interest disaster loans are available for Charlotte, DeSoto, Hardee, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota counties; provided loan eligibility criteria.
  • Eligibility
  • EIDLs up to $2mn are available for small businesses, private nonprofits with economic and financial losses as a direct result of the drought that began on Dec. 1, 2023.
  • Eligibility is based on the size of applicant, type of activity and its financial resources.
  • These loans may be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable, and other bills that could have been paid had disaster not occurred, but not lost revenues.
  • Application Deadline
  • Submitted loan applications must be submitted to SBA by Nov. 25, 2024.
