SBA reported that working capital Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) are available to small businesses in Florida suffering due to drought that began on Dec. 1, 2023.
Low-interest disaster loans are available for Charlotte, DeSoto, Hardee, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota counties; provided loan eligibility criteria.
Eligibility
EIDLs up to $2mn are available for small businesses, private nonprofits with economic and financial losses as a direct result of the drought that began on Dec. 1, 2023.
Eligibility is based on the size of applicant, type of activity and its financial resources.
These loans may be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable, and other bills that could have been paid had disaster not occurred, but not lost revenues.
Application Deadline
Submitted loan applications must be submitted to SBA by Nov. 25, 2024.
