ILL LEG Mobile Integrated Health

ILL LEG passed bill SB 3599 on insurance coverage of mobile health services.

Also ILL LEG 305-5-5-16.8; creates new ILL LEG 215-5-356z.71 on mobile services.
Bill Provisions
Amends the Illinois insurance code to provide coverage for services provided by emergency medical services providers under mobile integrated health care model.
Applies to a group or individual policy of accident and health insurance or a managed care plan that is amended, delivered, issued, or renewed on or after Jan. 1, 2026.
Coverage is for medically necessary services provided by emergency service providers.
Bill defines the terms eligible recipient and mobile integrated health care services.
Make amendments to several acts/codes to require coverage under those provisions.
