Bill Provisions
Prohibits an employer from taking adverse action against an employee that declines to attend/participate in employer-sponsored religious/political meetings, communications.
Employees working during the meeting time will be paid while the meeting is held.
Employer violations are subject to civil penalty of $500 per employee, per violation.
Provisions exclude employer requiring training to comply with the employer’s legal obligations, including those under civil rights law, occupational safety and health law.
