On Oct. 1, SIN ACRA extended renewal of certificate of registration.
SIN ACRA announced the early and extended renewal of certificate of registration by public accountants for 2025 starting from Oct. 1, 2024, to streamline processes.
Follows SIN ACRA Oct. 2023, updated on certificate renewals for 2024, see #189715.
Background
As the current BizFile+ will undergo a system revamp at the end of this year, SIN ACRA will commence the renewal process earlier, to enable public accountants to renew their certificates of registration using the current BizFile+ system.
Public accountants who wish to renew their certificates of registration for 2025 should submit their renewal applications via BizFile+ portal by Nov. 19, 2024.
CPE, Client Requirements
The deadline for public accountants to comply with the continuing professional education (CPE) requirements for renewal of their certificates remains Dec. 31, 2024.
For renewal purposes, public accountants who have yet to meet the CPE hours at the point of applying for renewal may still submit their applications in BizFile+.
They shall enter details of courses attended in 2024, up to their renewal application.
When completing the renewal application, public accountants may provide the number of clients that they, and the entities in which they are practising, have audited in 2024.
Number of clients should be based on the actual number as of the date of the renewal application and an estimate for the period from the date of renewal to Dec. 31.
The number of clients impacts the amount of renewal fees payable, which is a fixed sum of SGD 600 and a variable sum according to the number of companies audited.

Deadline for registration and renewal is Nov. 19, 2024.
Oct. 2024 SIN ACRA BizFile+ Migration
On Oct. 17, 2024, SIN ACRA said that BizFile+ will be migrating to a new Bizfile portal.
New Bizfile portal is launching on Dec. 9, 2024, replacing the current BizFile+ system.
Online services suspended from 8pm, Dec. 4 to 8am, Dec. 9, 2024, for data migration.
All online filing, registration services will be unavailable during migration period, with some services further unavailable during the periods from Nov. 20 and Nov. 27, 2024.
No late filing penalties for returns due Dec. 4 to 9, 2024, deadline extended to Dec. 16.
ACRA iShop, API Marketplace, API Mall unavailable Dec. 4-9, 2024, information will still be available through ACRA's list of authorized information service providers (ISPs).
Complete all filings/transactions by 8pm, Dec. 4; incomplete transactions will require re-application after Dec. 9, 2024, there will be no refunds for incomplete transactions.
