On Aug. 23, IRE GVT published rules on advanced cover in contracts.
IRE GVT published the Health insurance act 1994 (section 11E(2)) regulations 2024 (StIn 412/2024) under the Health insurance act, 1994 (no. 16 of 1994).
Health insurance authority satisfied that the contract issued by Aviva Insurance Ireland DAC does not provide for advanced cover, as per Health insurance act 1994, s. 11E(2).
Effectiveness
These regulations shall come into operation on Aug. 29, 2024.
Dec. 2024 Amendment
On Dec. 13, 2024, IRE GVT published the Health insurance act 1994 (section 11E(2)) (amendment) regulations 2024 (StIn 693/2024), in operation on Jan. 1, 2025.
Regulations delete Aviva Health Insurance Ireland Ltd in the schedules to Health insurance act 1994 (section 11E(2)) (no. 2) regulations 2013 (StIn 203/2013).
Health insurance act 1994 (section 11E(2)) (no. 5) regulations 2014 (StIn 621/2014) and Health insurance act 1994 (section 11E(2)) regulations 2020 (StIn 378/2020).
