MD LEG passed bill HB 1259 relating to breast cancer screening and lung cancer screening health insurance coverage, amends MD INS 15-814.1 and MD INS 15-860.
Bill Provisions
Coverage for cancer screening may not be subject to prior authorization requirement.
Insurer may not impose copayment, coinsurance, deductible on coverage for lung cancer screening or follow-up diagnostic imaging greater than copay, coinsurance.
