NGR SEC observed public companies file periodic returns with NGR SEC and relevant securities exchanges, without simultaneously publishing the data on their websites.
Omission is contravention of Rules 39 and 41 of NGR SEC's Rules and Regulations.
Public companies reminded that rationale for publication on websites is to provide access by the public to such information as a guide to sound investment decisions.
Also timely disclosures remain a key component of shareholders’ engagement.
Penalty Action
Effective Jan. 2025, any public company failing to comply with requirement re filing of periodic returns and simultaneous placement on website, will be penalized.
