Contact Information
Producer licensing/appointment contact email information must maintain updated to ensure receipt of notice regarding appointment renewals and other related inquiries.
Insurers must keep any contact information deemed necessary on file with OKL INS.
Any change in contact information shall be submitted within 20 days of the change.
Carrier Appointment Contacts
Uniform certificate of authority application (UCAA) Form 14 must be filed electronically through the NAIC's corporate amendment portal; form records retained for 10 years.
Form can be completed for 1/multiple States, and for 1/more contacts in just 1 filing.
Electronic filing of the form transmits an e-mail to the responsible staff member at each selected State Insurance Department and requires the State to confirm receipt.
Appointment Reconciliation
Carriers with an NAIC CoCode wishing to reconcile appointments may obtain a list via Company appointment report (CAR) prior to creation of appointment renewal invoices.
Terminations can be made via the interactive appointment and termination application.
Both applications available to National insurance producer registry (NIPR) subscribers.
Appointment Renewals
All appointment renewals will be processed electronically through the NIPR in 2024.
Only appointments for insurance professionals with active licenses will be renewed.
Additionally, appointment renewal invoices and the list of appointment renewals due will be available on the NIPR website beginning Nov. 25, 2024, through Dec. 31, 2024.
Invoices and a list of appointments due for renewal published on Nov. 25; termination notices for individual appointments that you do not wish to renew are due by Nov. 15.
All insurance professional renewal fees listed on the invoice are due on Dec. 31, 2024.
Companies are not allowed to terminate any names from the invoice once it is created.
Appointments will be terminated if the invoice is not paid in full by Dec. 31, 2024.
Paper checks will not be accepted and invoices not available after payment due date.
Processing fee per invoice will equal 1% of the total State fees charged with minimum of $5.00 and a maximum of a $1k; there is a $60k limit on credit card payments.
Renewal processing fee based on the number of appointment renewals on the invoice.
