This initiative would lay down a technical framework for the set-up and functioning of Safety Gate's interoperable interface; would enable providers of online marketplaces to link their interfaces with the Safety Gate Portal in an easy, quick and reliable way.

May 2024 Regulation Adopted
On May 27, 2024, EU CMSN adopted Reg 2024/1459 for application of Reg 2023/988 on interoperable interface of Safety Gate Portal for providers of online marketplaces.
In registering with portal in line with art 22.1 of Reg 2023/988, providers of online marketplaces may link interfaces to Safety Gate Portal using interoperable interface.
Providers that linked own interface with interoperable interface of portal may download information already made publicly available on it, in line with art 34.1 Reg 2023/988.
Providers may configure frequency and content of the information they can download in line with the instructions published by the EU CMSN on the Safety Gate Portal.
Regulation in force on 20th day post publication in EU OJ, to apply from Dec. 13, 2024.
