SBA Hawaii Drought Disaster Aid


On May 2, SBA made EIDLs available to victims of drought in Hawaii.


  • SBA made Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) available to HWI small businesses.
  • For firms affected by drought which began on Mar. 5, 2024, disaster declared Apr. 29.
  • Eligibility
  • Small non-farm businesses, small agricultural coops, small businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofit organizations of any size may qualify for loans.
  • Economic Injury Disaster Loans of up to $2 million to help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met had the disaster not occurred.
  • Businesses primarily engaged in farming or ranching are not eligible for these loans.
  • Application Deadline
  • The application deadline for economic injury disaster loans is Dec. 30, 2024.
