On Oct. 24, LTH PRL published law amending the Concessions Law.
LTH PRL published Law XIV-3042 of Oct. 17, 2024 amending art 5, 14, 16, 26, 31, 60, 65, 66 and annex 5 of the Concessions Law I-1510 of Sep. 10, 1996, as amended.
Main Points
The law deals with the right to use existing or planned state or municipal property, which is granted under a contract in order to carry out a certain economic activity.
Amendments re the calculation of the value of the concession; the principles and objectives of granting a concession; management of public assets by concessionaires.
Removal of participants from the concession granting procedure, reasons of refusal.
Effectiveness
The law enters into force on Dec. 1, 2024; part 2 of art 10 applies on Oct. 25, 2024.
