SBA Disaster Aid to NM Small Business

  • SBA made Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) available to New Mexico small businesses impacted by economic losses caused by drought beginning Nov. 1, 2023.
  • Eligibility
  • Primary NM counties are Bernalillo, Catron, Chaves, Cibola, Colfax, Curry, De Baca, Doña Ana, Eddy, Grant, Guadalupe, Harding, Hidalgo, Lea, Lincoln, Los Alamos.
  • Also, Luna, Mckinley, Mora, Otero, Quay, Rio Arriba, Roosevelt, San Juan, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, Sierra, Socorro, Taos, Torrance, Union and Valencia counties.
  • Neighboring AZ counties Apache, Cochise, Greenlee; COL counties Archuleta, Baca, Conejos, Costilla, La Plata, Las Animas, Montezuma; OKLA Cimarron county.
  • TX counties Andrews, Bailey, Cochran, Culberson, Dallam, Deaf Smith, El Paso, Gaines, Hartley, Hudspeth, Loving, Oldham, Parmer, Reeves, Winkler, Yoakum; UTA San Juan.
  • Small nonfarm businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofits may qualify for EIDLs up to $2 million.
  • Loans are intended to help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met by the loan applicant had the drought disaster not occurred.
  • Deadline
  • Completed EIDL loan applications must be submitted to SBA by Nov. 25, 2024.
