RI LEG enacted bill SB 2739 relating to commercial law and filing of assumed name.
The bill changed the term assumed name to trade name and centralized the filing, administration and regulation process of trade names to the Secretary of State.
This act also required an annual renewal of the trade name; amended RI LEG 6-1.
