CZC CB published a notice on EBA guidelines on information requirements connected to the transfers of funds and certain crypto-assets under EU Regulation 2023/1113.

Notice Overview
On Jul. 4, 2024, EBA issued Guidelines on information requirement related to transfers of funds and transfers of some crypto-assets under Reg 2023/1113 (EBA/GL/2024/11).
These guidelines are addressed to competent authorities referred to in Article 4(2)(i) of EBA regulation and financial institutions referred to in Article 4(1) of same regulation.
EBA issued guidelines following replacement of EU Reg 2015/847 by TFR Regulation, extending existing information obligations for the transfer of funds to transactions with crypto-assets, setting obligations for providers and intermediaries of payment services.
Guidelines clarify provisions of TFR Regulation, like factors to be taken in account when implementing effective procedures for ascertaining information on transfers of funds or crypto-assets and managing risks associated with missing or incomplete information.
Applies to payer, beneficiary of funds, originator or the beneficiary of crypto-assets.
Guidelines will replace, from Dec. 2024, guidelines JC/GL/2017/16 under Art. 25 of EU Reg 2015/847, on measures payment service providers on missing or incomplete data.
Effectiveness
The guidelines will apply from Dec. 30, 2024, which is also the date by which the CZC CB will proceed in its supervision requirements, in accordance with all these guidelines.
