  • Bill Provisions
  • Provides relevant definitions including habilitative speech therapy, habilitative services.
  • Requires that any plan that covers habilitative services in general must also cover rehabilitative speech therapy as a treatment for stuttering without a maximum limit.
  • Coverage may not be limited based on the causes, subjected to utilization review.
  • Must include coverage in person and via telehealth, that latter equal to that required for health plans; include the use of any communications technology.
  • If the application of any requirement of this section to a qualified health plan as defined in 42 USC 18021(a)(1), would result in a determination against the State.
  • That the state must make payments to defray the cost of the requirement under 42 USC 18031(d)(3), 45 CFR 155.170, then requirement shall not apply to the plan.
  • May apply to the plan once the cost defrayal requirement is no longer applicable.
