On Aug. 2, AZ INS proposed amendments on health care oversight.
AZ INS issued notice of proposed changes to AZ INS 20-6-19, Health care services organizations oversight (HCSO), amend sections regulating types of insurers.

Proposed Amendments
AZ INS 20-6-1902 (definitions) amended to eliminate redundant definitions already contained in statute, align existing definitions with statute, add definition for director.
Also, AZ INS 20-6-1906 (Chief executive officer) amended to eliminate requirements for HCSO to maintain central place of business within major geographic area served.
Amended for CEO of the HCSO to be based at the HCSO’s central place of business.
AZ INS 20-6-1912 (Network directories) amended to eliminate requirement for HCSO to produce current paper network directory except when requested by an enrollee.
Consultation
If no one requests oral proceeding, comments due 30 days after notice of proposed rulemaking, i.e. Sep. 1; if oral proceeding requested, comments by date of proceeding.
Dec. 2024 AZ INS Final Rule
On Dec. 10, 2024, AZ INS posted notice of final rulemaking, effective Jan. 5, 2025.
