  • SBA offered assistance to businesses harmed by winter ice storm on Jan. 12 to 20.
  • Affected Counties
  • The disaster declaration makes SBA assistance available in Benton and Clackamas.
  • Also Clatsop, Columbia, Deschutes, Douglas, Hood River, Klamath, Lane, Lincoln, Linn.
  • Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Tillamook, Wasco, Washington, and Yamhill counties.
  • Finally, Clark, Pacific, Skamania and Wahkiakum counties in Washington State.
  • Disaster Loans
  • Eligible entities permitted to apply for Economic injury disaster loans (EIDL) of up to $2 million to help businesses meet their working capitals needs caused by the storms.
  • Applications are open to small non-farm businesses, small agricultural cooperatives.
  • Also small businesses in aquaculture, and most private nonprofit organizations.
  • Loans may be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, and accounts payable, among others.
  • Loan amounts and terms are set by SBA based on business' financial condition.
  • Application Deadline
  • The deadline for eligible entities to submit a disaster loan application is Nov. 8, 2024.

  • On Feb. 14, 2024, SBA published EIDL declaration for Oregon in the Federal register.
