  • FIN GVT said FIN PRL approved FIN MoJ bill to amend Criminal Code Ch 25 S 3(1).
  • Amendments
  • Section 3 sub-section 1 will now read 'A person who: takes advantage of another person's dependent position or insecure situation, or pressures another person, deceives another person or exploits the person's deception, pays compensation to a person holding another under their control, or accepts such compensation, takes control over another person, recruits another person, or transfers, transports, receives, or shelters another person for the purpose of subjecting them to sexual exploitation as referred to in Section 10, Subsection 1, Paragraph 1 of Chapter 20, or a comparable form of sexual abuse, forced labor, forced marriage, or a comparable union, or other degrading conditions, or for the removal of organs or tissues, shall be sentenced for human trafficking to imprisonment for at least four months and at most six years.'

  • This Act shall come into force on Jan. 1, 2025.
